In the heart of the prestigious Champagne vineyards is born one of the oldest cooperatives in the region. Driven by a shared passion for the vine and a desire to pool their know-how, 14 visionary winemakers decided to unite to found the Cave Coopérative des Riceys. This historic alliance thus lays the first stones of a sustainable heritage, where tradition and innovation harmoniously intertwine.

In 1937, after several years of passionate work and meticulous winemaking, the Cooperative took a decisive step in its history. For the very first time, its champagnes, crafted through the collective know-how of the winemakers, were put on sale. Distributed in France and Belgium, these first cuvées mark the beginning of a new ambition: to introduce and appreciate the fruit of the Riceys terroir beyond the region. This initial commercialization thus lays the foundations for the future development of the house.

In the 1980s, the Cooperative made a bold choice by creating the brand "Champagne Marquis de Pomereuil". More than just a tribute to the Lord of Riceys, this name embodies a desire to assert a strong identity, playing with the historical references of Champagne terroir. Through this name, the House gives a new character to its identity and its cuvées.

Wishing to evolve with its time, Champagne Marquis de Pomereuil takes a new step by investing in cutting-edge equipment, combining tradition and technology to enhance the expression of the terroir. This modernization is accompanied by a strong commitment to sustainable, reasoned, and organic viticulture, with the ambition of preserving the richness of the soils and biodiversity. Through these initiatives, the house affirms its desire to inscribe its know-how in an environmentally respectful approach while ensuring the quality and authenticity of its champagnes for future generations.

At the heart of this transformation, a new emblem emerges: The Flower of Marquis de Pomereuil. Inspired by the wild orchids that thrive on the Champagne slopes, it embodies elegance, authenticity, and resilience.
The new range of Champagne Marquis de Pomereuil graphically reflects the spirit of the house and its commitment to preserving its heritage while embracing modernity.
